Bush Office Desk

Okay finally I got it put together. It took so long because I had to make arrangements with Bush furniture to send me one of the largest boards used on the armoire due to the raw material for the head of the screws being so cheaply made they fell apart if you tried to tighten them with a screwdriver. Getting that replacement board turned out to be a problem in itself because they had to send it to me 4 times before I finally received an undamaged board. The customer service people were always great except the second time I had to reorder the damaged board the lady acted like she was sending my replacement part and when I called back a week later to check on it there was no record of my reordering the replacement board. Now to be completely fair it only looked like 3 out of the 4 replacement boards were damaged by Bush furniture. One looked like it was damaged during shipment (Fedex) The fourth board they sent me only had a large hole in the box but luckily the particle board was undamaged. I spent the rest of the evening putting it together and I do like the way it looks. They really should use better materials than this though and they must package their cheaply made stuff alot better if they don’t. I do have to say I would change this to 2 stars if I could cause while it looks good the hardware they used on it is only good enough to get it tightened one time and don’t ever try and move it afterwards or else it would fall apart if you did. I’m still glad I got it due to my own personal need for it but the materials they used on it is way to cheap to give them anymore than the lightning deal of $300 I got on it which was supposedly 700 dollars off the listed price. Deep down I think the raw materials they used on it was probably around $50. They had to ship a large heavy board to me 5 times so that probably means Bush furniture broke even on my order. That kinda makes me feel better about the whole thing. I agree with the rest of the customers here though. You can buy something alot sturdier than this for $798 bucks which is the currently listed price for this armoire at the time I wrote this part of the review.

MY ORIGINAL REVIEW WAY BACK WHEN I RECEIVED MY FIRST SHIPMENT
This is a beautiful armoire in the picture. The problem is it’s sort of like the furniture you get at walmart just a step above it. You’ve got a razor thin piece of cherrywood on top of some particle board and is packaged in 2 big boxes which ends up being kinda handy if you’re assembling it by yourself like I’m doing. The assembly process is a step above the walmart furniture due to alot of the components you normally have to do yourself is pre-assembled for you. But just like the walmart furniture some of those components have factory defects (made in china on the box – big surprise) and you have to wait a week and a half after you order the replacement pieces from Bush furniture before you can finish building it. Although the ease in ordering these replacement components was quite smooth. Now if I was paying 999. 00 for this thing I would have been very dissatisfied with purchasing this product but since I only paid 299. 00 with free shipping via a lightning deal I’m still happy about my purchase. Other than that this will do the job quite nicely as a flat panel entertainment armoire. So I’m giving it 3 stars since it will accomplish what you want it to accomplish but due to the cheap defective raw material and the high price tag it’s not worth a 1000 bucks. Wait on another lightning deal. I’ll try and update this review when I get the replacement parts in and complete the assembly.

My son and husband put the armoire together with no problem. My only complaint is the cheap thin board for the back of the armoire. I bought it for my TV and other accessories. The depth provides alot of room. I think its worth 150. 00 not 299. 00 the price I paid for.

I was excited to get this item at such a great price ($299)! I have the matching desk and bookcase and they look great! The hutch was very easy to assemble and it looks great! Make sure to measure the height of your TV if you decide not to use a plasma or LCD. The doors open and slide in giving it a clean look while open. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Made of cheap particle board, Arrived with pieces that were already chiped and damaged. The ‘locking’ bolts tore out when tightened, Cracking and rendering the fastners useless. The pieces do not line up when put together. I would spend the few extra dollars and go to a brick and mortar store for quality merchandise

Not at all as pictured. Listed as $1000. piece of fine furniture, but really a $109. Walmart knock off. Made in China, and of really poor quality materials. Door color does not match the cabinat,and assembly is overly complex, Not recommended for the average do it yourself’er. So pay your money and take your chances. . . . . .
